Ethical Consideration
Ethics and Security
Every submitted paper must have a clear source. For example, the problem of data and materials used in research must be true and valid data and materials (free from data and material theft). As a form of mutual security, all parties involved in publishing (authors, journal editors, peer reviewers, etc.) must be guided by ethical and security frameworks.
Author and Author Responsibilities
Correspondent authors take primary responsibility for communicating with the journal during the manuscript submission, peer review, and publication process, and typically ensure that all journal administrative requirements, such as providing authorship details, ethics committee approval, clinical trial registration documentation, and collection of conflict-of-interest statements, have been properly resolved. Correspondent authors must respond to editorial questions during the submission and peer review process in a timely manner, and must cooperate with any requests from the journal after publication.
Celebes Nursing Journal (CNJ) does not allow adding authors or changing the first author or related authors after final acceptance of the article. If any author wishes to be excluded from the article, he must submit a letter signed by that author, as well as all other authors, indicating his desire to be removed from the list of authors. Any change in the order of names in the line of the work requires a letter signed by all authors expressing their consent.
Conflict of Interest
The author is required to disclose all relationships or interests in connection with his work. All submitted manuscripts must include a 'Conflict of Interest' section at the end of the manuscript that lists all financial and non-financial conflicts of interest. If the author has no conflict of interest, then the statement should read "The authors represent that they have no conflict of interest." Competing interests arise when authors' interpretation of data or presentation of information may be influenced by their personal or financial relationships with other people or organizations.
Authors must disclose any competing financial interests, but also non-financial interest competitions that can embarrass them if published after the article is published. Financial competition interests include (but are not limited to):
- Research grant from funding institution (Research funder and grant number required)
- Financial support for educational programs
- Work or consulting
- Positions on advisory boards or boards of directors or other types of management relationships
- Financial relationships, e.g. Receiving reimbursement of costs, fees, funding, or salaries from an organization that may benefit or lose financially from publishing articles, either now or in the future.
- Intellectual property rights (e.g. patents, copyrights, and royalties from such rights)
- Ownership of spouses and/or children who may have a financial interest in the work
In addition, non-financial interests that may be important to the reader should be disclosed. This may include but is not limited to competing political, personal, religious, ideological, academic, and intellectual interests.
Editors can request more information related to competing interests. Editors and reviewers are also required to declare any competing interests and will be removed from the peer review process if there are competing interests.
Human and Animal Rights
Research involving human, human material, or human data subjects, must include a statement that the research was conducted in accordance with the Helsinki Declaration and approved by the appropriate ethics committee. If a study has been granted an exemption from the ethical consent requirement, this should also be detailed in the text (including the name of the ethics committee granting the exemption). Authors are expected to have obtained ethics committee approval and patient approval for any experimental use of new procedures or tools where clear clinical advantage based on clinical need is not seen prior to treatment.
In addition, the welfare of animals used for research must be respected. When reporting on animal experiments, authors must indicate whether international, national, and/or institutional guidelines for animal care and use have been adhered to, and that the research has been approved by the research ethics committee at the institution or practice in which the study was conducted.
The manuscript may be rejected if the Editor considers the research was not conducted within the appropriate ethical framework. In rare cases, the Editor may contact the ethics committee for more information.
Explanation and Agreement
For all studies involving human subjects, consent to participate in the study must be obtained from participants. For all manuscripts containing details, images, or videos relating to each participant, written consent for publication must be obtained from the participant. A statement on this subject must appear in the text. Identification details (name, date of birth, identity number and other information) of the participant under study should not be published in written descriptions, photographs and genetic profiles unless the information is important for scientific purposes and the participant (or parent or guardian) if the participant is incapacitated) gives written consent for publication. The final decision on whether or not to approve a publication is in the hands of the Editor.
Originality and Duplicate Publication
Manuscripts that are being reviewed or published by other journals will not be accepted for publication in the Celebes Nursing Journal (CNJ), and articles published in this journal are not accepted may be reproduced in whole or in part in any type of publication without permission from the Editorial Board in English. Figures and tables may be freely used if the original source is verified under a Creative Commons Non-Commercial License. All authors are required to resolve any copyright issues when citing images or tables from different journals that are not open access.
Plagiarism
All authors are strongly advised to check the contents of the manuscript before submitting it to the journal for publication. Authors can use "Plagiarism Checker software" to ensure that their manuscript is plagiarism-free. In any case, all papers submitted to the journal will be checked against Plagiarism once received and also before finally published using then withdraw & other Plagiarism Detection Software. If the Reviewer, Editor-in-Chief, Reader or Editorial Staff suspects or notices any type of plagiarism at any stage of the publication process, the manuscript will be rejected
Research and Publication Violation Resolution Process
The editorial board will continue to strive to observe publication violations such as excessive publication (duplicates), plagiarism, false data, author changes, undisclosed conflicts of interest, ethical problems with submitted manuscripts, reviewers who have taken over the author's ideas or data, complaints against editors, and others. When a journal faces suspected cases of research and publication errors, the resolution process will be followed by established guidelines.
