Open Access Policy
The Celebes Nursing Journal (CNJ) is committed to advancing global knowledge dissemination by providing immediate, free, and unrestricted access to all published articles. CNJ believes that removing financial, legal, and technical barriers to scholarly literature fosters the equitable exchange of scientific knowledge, enhances the visibility of research outputs, and supports the advancement of nursing science worldwide.
This policy outlines CNJ’s commitment to open access, licensing conditions, repository rights, preservation mechanisms, and compliance with international open science principles. CNJ aligns its practices with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), Creative Commons standards, COPE best practices and OAI-PMH interoperability guidelines.
1. Open Access Statement
All articles published in CNJ are immediately available online without restrictions. Readers may:
- Read
- Download
- Copy
- Distribute
- Search
- Link to the full text
- Use for any non-commercial purpose
No prior permission from the publisher or authors is required, provided users comply with the journal’s licensing terms.
Open access in CNJ applies to:
- Full text articles
- Supplementary materials
- Metadata
- Figures, tables, and graphical content (unless otherwise noted)
CNJ does not impose embargo periods. All content becomes openly accessible upon publication.
2. Licensing Terms
All articles in CNJ are published under the:
Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0)
Under this license, users are permitted to:
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format

As long as they:

4. No Fees Policy (APC, Submission, Publication)
CNJ is a diamond/platinum open access journal, meaning:
- No submission fees
- No article processing charges (APC)
- No editorial fees
- No publication fees
- No page or color charges
Publishing in CNJ is entirely free for authors and readers.
If the journal’s fee policy changes in the future, CNJ will update this section transparently and provide clear notice on the journal website.
5. Self-Archiving & Repository Policy (Green Open Access)
CNJ fully supports self-archiving and encourages authors to deposit any version of their manuscript in public or institutional repositories.

CNJ ensures permanent, fail-safe preservation of all published content through recognized archiving systems, including:
- PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)
- LOCKSS / CLOCKSS (where available)
- Institutional and local digital backups
These systems guarantee that:
- Articles remain accessible indefinitely
- Publications survive platform migration

CNJ ensures that metadata for all published content are:
