Guidelines for Submission
Before submitting a manuscript, authors must read and comply with the Author Guidelines. To begin the submission process, authors are required to log in or register for a new account in the journal’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
Authors should complete the following steps:
- Select the appropriate article type. The selected category must accurately reflect the purpose, content, and methodology of the manuscript and must be consistent with the journal’s Section Policy.
- Prepare and upload the required submission files:
1Main manuscript prepared using the official CNJ Manuscript Template. Manuscripts subject to external double-blind peer review must be prepared without author-identifying information.2Separate Title Page containing the article title, authors’ full names, affiliations, corresponding-author information, and other identifying information required by the official CNJ Title Page template.3A completed reporting guideline checklist, where applicable to the study design or article type.4An Ethics Approval and Informed Consent statement, where applicable, in accordance with CNJ’s Ethical Consideration. Supporting ethics documentation should be uploaded only when requested by the editorial office.5Clinical trial registration information, including the registry name and registration number, where applicable.6All applicable declarations required by the Author Guidelines, including Author Contributions, Data Availability Statement, Conflict of Interest, Funding, Acknowledgments, and Declaration of Use of AI in Scientific Writing. Any declaration containing author-identifying information must be provided separately where required for double-blind peer review.7A completed ICMJE Disclosure Form for each author. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that completed forms from all authors are submitted at the time of initial manuscript submission. Completion of the form does not replace the Conflict of Interest statement required in the manuscript.8Relevant supplementary files, supporting materials, permissions, or other documentation, where applicable or when requested by the editorial office.
- Complete the online submission workflow. Follow each step in the OJS submission system and provide all information requested by the journal.
- Verify the submission metadata. Ensure that the selected article type, title, author names and order, affiliations, corresponding-author information, abstract, keywords, references, and other metadata entered in OJS accurately match the submitted files. ORCID identifiers should be provided where available.
- Review and confirm the submission. Before completing the submission, verify that all required files have been uploaded and that the information provided is complete and accurate. The corresponding author should monitor the OJS account and registered email address for editorial communications.
For detailed written instructions, authors should consult the Guidelines for Submitting a Manuscript to CNJ. Step-by-step video instructions are available on the OJS User Guide page.
